Clean Water & Renewable Energy
RGP facilities are designed to efficiently treat agricultural and municipal wastewater to produce clean water and renewable energy, with zero waste.
Clean Water
Reclaimed Water
Anaerobically treated water can be used for irrigation, for producing potable water or for a variety of industrial re-uses.
Purified (Potable) Water
Through distillation, reverse osmosis, and filtration-purified water can be produced for drinking, household or emergency needs.
Renewable Energy
Methane
Biogas derived from anaerobic digestion is composed of 60-80% methane which can be used to generate electric power that can be used to produce hydrogen.
Electric Power
Dependent on location and distribution, the RGP process can generate digital quality firm or demand power for consumer or industrial uses.
Heat
A byproduct of power generation, RGP can convert excess heat into additional electric power, use it to aid in ethanol distillation or hydrogen gas production, or even to make ice.
Fertilizer
NPK
Wastewater from agriculture often contains nitrogen, phosphates and potassium (“NPK”). In the course of water purification RGP can collect and concentrate large amounts of N, P and K passing through the anaerobic treatment or in the case of P, is concentrated in the sludge. Concentrated NPK can be used as a replacement for granular fertilizers.
